2021 Earth X Art Competition
I used techniques to create the harsh lighting that runs all though this forest scene to create this feeling of timelessness to contrast with the melancholy feeling of a distant memory of something that used to be. With mass deforestation within many different industries it truly isn't impossible to foresee a future where beautiful, deep, and healthy forests are only a memory. All environmental issues are important to me but deforestation in particular has always been something that has struck my heart. Forest and greenery along with the wildlife it holds has always been something that impacted my life in many ways especially with my art. When creating I always seem to find myself wanting to create a beautiful forest within my creations, so to think about a world without one of my biggest muses destroys my heart. Not to mention the extreme impact on any wildlife that rely on these very specific environments. This piece was done digitally with a digital drawing application called Procreate. I can only hope that when people view my art their able to form the same connection with the environment as i do and strive to help in any ways they can, whether that be spreading information or aiding directly to anti deforestation institutions.

The Road We're On |
The Road We’re On The purpose of “ The Road We’re On” is to highlight the deadly effects of climate change and how soon it could cause irreparable damage to our planet. The environment portrayed in the painting is for the most part barren, with red skies, decimated buildings and structures, dead, black trees, and dried out soil. This piece was made with acrylic paint. I used mostly dark and warm colors to convey the danger this threat poses, and stress the global warming part of climate change. I made the buildings buildings modern, like the ones you may see driving through a major city today, specifically to communicate that the dystopian future I’ve imagined isn't as far from occurring as most people believe it to be. This way the viewer can understand the urgency of the crisis we face. It's important to me to share the message that climate change is happening, and happening fast, because ultimately, climate change will effect our daily lives and our ability to provide for ourselves. Not only that, but it will also effect the lives of future generations that had no part to play in the desecration of our planet. My hope is that whoever views this piece sees what’s happening in the painting not as a mere possibility for the future, but as a prediction of what is to certainly to come if we don't immediately change our ways.

Harm From Plastic |
Well as you can see I draw so many plastic items in the ocean and we waste about 8million plastics in the ocean. The reason why this environmental issue is important to me is because they can harm and kill Marine life animal and the pastiche can also harm the ocean and the environment. Well I used different colors in the ocean to show that the oceans are not always clean but I also draw the turtle the way it is supposed to show you what the plastic is harming. I think this drawing can help people see that what the plastics items we use can harm in the environment. So I think people can reuse plastics and also recycle plastic.
